Paul Co-Founded the Institute of Applied Research. The organization operates as a group of experts in research, innovation and policy development who come together to provide consultancy services in the areas of agriculture, health, environment, and trade and markets, as well as economic and social development matters. The organization also undertakes tailored capacity building training in data management and analytics, and policy analysis to contribute to filling knowledge gaps in these areas in developing countries.
Paul Boadu is the Lead Economist with specialization in advanced econometrics, health economics, agricultural economics, natural resources and environmental economics, and money and banking. He is interested in the application of econometric principles to development issues and the use of statistical methods for data management and analysis to inform policy. Paul has experience in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of development programmes/ projects founded by international development organisations including the World Bank, African Development Bank, and International Fund for Agricultural Development. He has working experience in countries including Benin, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ghana, Togo, Tanzania, Nigeria, Malawi, Senegal, Kenya, Rwanda, Philippines, Mauritius, England, and Northern Ireland.
Paul Boadu is a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
He received his undergraduate degree in economics at the University of Cape Coast, and completed Joint Masters degree in Economics (MA in Economics (health economics and advanced econometrics) and MPhil in Economics (environmental and natural resources economics, and money and banking) from the University of Ghana. He completed his PhD degree in Agricultural Economics on a collaborative programme between the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture and University of Greenwich.
