Dr. Kwaku Antwi

Co-Founder and Co-Director

Dr. Antwi is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the institute. He is the Lead Agricultural Economist with specializing in sustainable food systems and rural development. With over a decade of experience in agricultural policy formulation and implementation, policy analysis and market research in the agricultural sector. 

Dr Antwi is passionate about improving the efficiency and resilience of food systems in developing economies, especially the global south. He has broad experience in project management, proposal writing, facilitating capacity building workshops, and conducting development oriented research across various value chains in the agricultural sector of countries including Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Egypt and Uganda. 

Dr. Antwi leads the Policy, Research, and Investment Cluster at the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa.

Dr. Antwi holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Texas Teck University, USA. As a contribution towards knowledge in the agricultural sector, he has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and has further contributed to the writing of book chapters.
