Qualitative Research, Gender and Public Engagement Lead
Mavis is the Qualitative Research, Gender and Public Engagement Lead at IAR. She has over a decade experience in policy engagement and equity issues, and has led several gender sensitive development research funded by international partners including The Gates Foundation, The US Institutes of Health, Centre for Agriculture and Biological Sciences (CABI), Alliance for A Green Revolution in Africa, Oxford University, Human Science Research Council (HSRC) South Africa, Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP), SINTEF-Norway, International Development Research Centre (IDRC), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Association of Commonwealth Universities, etc.
Mavis is a Sociologist with a PhD and M.Phil. in Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon. Her Bachelors’ degree was in Sociology and Law from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
